The Study Abroad office is located inside the International Studies building on 5th Street. From this office we learned about the opportunities that are available to students by studying abroad. Students can study abroad to take classes for their major or minor, get credits, volunteer, or even do an internship. There are over 400 programs in more than 60 countries that you can visit if you study abroad. One can go to countries such as Italy, France, or Turkey to study programs such as advertising or public health. For specific information on the study abroad programs, visit  Resource Room 112 at the International Studies building.
Last but not least, on our tour of campus was Assembly Hall. Assembly Hall is one of the most popular places at UIUC where concerts are held. From Broadway shows to hip-hop concerts, Assembly Hall hosts them all.  It is also the home to all women's and men's basketball games. Assembly Hall first opened in March of 1963 and to this day the shape of the building amuses many people. It is four hundred feet across and the roof of Assembly Hall is held up by one-quarter inch steel wire. The wire is 614 miles long and it is wrapped at the base of the dome. Max Abramovitz was the University of Illinois alumnus who designed this amazing stadium with 16,000 seats including floor room for chairs and extra seating. Slated for this year are performances by Death Cab for Cutie and Lupe Fiasco, along with a huge Orange Krush student section for all of the men's basketball games .
